If you believe Bush is the Anti-Christ, then you really have no reason not to believe Jesus died on the cross for your sins. The way I see it, you can't have an Anti-Christ without Christ.
I'd like to see your friends in D.C. try to prove me wrong here.

Nooo, everyone knows Bill Gates is the anti-Christ. (someone needs to look up the terms 'irony' and 'sarcasm')

I've always thought Gates was the antichrist.

As to usage, perhaps "Satire" is the proper word...which "implies the use of irony or sarcasm for censorious or critical purposes and is often directed at public figures or institutions, conventional behavior, political situations, etc." [Random House College Dictionary]

Perhaps a better thing to say would be "let's not be a literalist", i.e., "adherence to the exact letter or literal sense". Something your friends in DC (and Canada) understand perfectly. Lost on others, I'm afraid.....

Durr, Gus, we're expressing Anti-Christ as the epitomy of evil, not the actual Anti-Christ. I don't think that the Anti-Christ is the epitomy of evil. It all depends on how you see Christ. So you see, it has nothing to do with Christ when we say that Bush is the Anti-Christ. Can your tiny idiot closed brain handle all of that?

Pat, I like Angel better than Buffy. It has more of a plot and a greater purpose. It's just a downside that Spike isn't in it. But we've got Lindsay McDonald, and he's a hottie. So thanks for lending me that set.

We miss you Deirdre.

Sprog, the last season of Angel HAS Spike. Angel just never did it for me--don't see much character development, except for Cordelia. Also, Buffy is all about feminism. Just finished Season 7. Awesome.
