Direction-less Directions

So, my summer job: I'm working in a store on the Ocean City Boardwalk (East Coast. Remember that little piece of information. It's important.) Not too bad, now that senior "week" (actually lasting three hellish weeks) is over.

I'm on seventh street; closest public restroom is on ninth street. Week before last someone comes into the store, demands to use the bathroom. I tell her there's one two blocks north on ninth street. She rolls her eyes, huffs in exasperation, and says with a sneer, "Which way's north?"

Needed a Laugh

When this summer semester ends, I might get around to posting some convenience store stories (convenience stories). Or I might not.

Anyway, when I need a laugh, I go here:

Hil, my Canadian Mum, is too amusing...

Stickin' it to the--

Okay, I'm really, really late in posting this, but here it is:

I wanted to add this as a video to my blog, but I haven't found a code for it yet. It is Stephen Colbert at the White House Correspondents Dinner--and it is the funniest (and occasionally most depressing) thing I've seen in a long time.

Watch it!

I am a goddess!

I ran three miles this morning. How excellent is that? Now all I need to do is be able to do it consistantly and I should reach my goal of running a 5K by the end of summer.
